Jadwal 1 Ramadhan dan Syawal Muhammadiyah 2017

PP Muhammadiyah tetapkan 1 Ramadhan 1438 H pada kalender Masehi jatuh pada hari Sabtu Pahing, 27 Mei 2017 M. Demikian pernyataan Sekretaris Umum PP Muhammadiyah Mu'ti Ali, Selasa (14/3/2017). Sementara itu 1 Syawal 1438 H jatuh pada hari Ahad Legi, 25 Juni 2017 M.
penetapan ini berdasar pada hisab hakiki wujudul hilal yang dipedomani Majelis Tarjih dan Tajdid PP Muhammadiyah. (detikcom: 14/3/2017)

Selanjutnya, Mu'ti juga menerangkan bahwa posisi hilal menjelang 1 Ramadhan telah berada tujuh derajat di atas ufuk. Demikian juga dengan penetapan Idul Fitri 1 Syawal 1438 jatuh pada Ahad 25 Juni 2017 berdasar wujudul hilal yang telah berada di atas empat derajat.

PP Muhammadiyah juga telah menetapkan  1 September 2017 M sebagai hari raya Idul Adha 10 Zulhijjah 1438 H. Mu'ti juga menerangkan kalau kemungkinan lebaran akan berbarengan dengan keputusan pemerintah yang menggunakan metode rukyatul hilal, karena 4 derajat sudah masuk rukyat, bahkan pendapat lain 2 derajat sudah rukyat. Muhammadiyah juga akan hadiri sidang isbat yang digelar pemerintah dalam menentukan hari besar Islam. (suaramuhammadiyah: 14/3/2017)
